Day 01 : Delhi Fly
from your country to New Delhi , you will be greeted & assisted
upon arrival. Transfer to Hotel for overnight stay.
Day
02 : New & Old Delhi Breakfast at Hotel and then
leave for full day sightseeing of Old and New Delhi visiting Jamia
Masjid, enjoy rickshaw ride in narrow alleys of old Delhi through
Kinari Bazaar and 400 years old Chandni Chowk, Red Fort, Crematory
of Mahatma Gandhi, Birla Temple, Parliament House, Presidential
House, India Gate, Government buildings & Qutab Minar. Return
Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03 :
Srinagar Meet upon arrival and transfer to Deluxe
Houseboats. Late afternoon Shikara ride on Dal Lake visiting
floating and Vegetable gardens etc. Also witness walnut woodcarving
and papier machie making demonstration. Dinner overnight in Deluxe
Houseboats.
Day 04 : Srinagar Morning
sightseeing of Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh (Abode of
pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 AD.
And Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife
Empress Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal
Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background. The distance
from Srinagar to the said gardens is about 12 and 15 kms
respectively. Enroute visit carpet-weaving factory. Dinner overnight
in Deluxe Houseboats.
Day 05 : Srinagar
- Gulmarg After breakfast drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of
Flowers) 2730 Mts. above sea level. The distance of 160 kms will be
covered in about 4-½ hrs. Gulmarg has one of the best Ski
slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18
holes. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather
permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating.
Also enjoy sledge riding on snow. Chair Lifts for mountain ride are
also available. Overnight at Hotel in Gulmarg.
Day
06 : Gulmarg - Srinagar Morning enjoy the beautiful
landscapes of Gulmarg & in the afternoon drive back to Srinagar.
Arrive& check in at Houseboat for overnight stay.
Day
07 : Srinagar - Kargil ( 210 Km, 08 hours ) Breakfast
at Houseboat & drive to Kargil & after Sonamarg you will
drive through Zogila Pass. This passremains closed during the
winter. Arrive & check in at Hotel for overnight stay.
Day
08 : Kargil - Uletopko ( 145 Km, 06 hours ) Breakfast
at Hotel & you can have short visit of this small town Kargil.
Afterwards drive to Uletopkoenroute Fatula Pass. Continue your drive
& readch Lamayur, your journey to this place allows you to
travel over Jelebi Mods ( serpentine road ) and once you reach at
the top a photograph of the road you traveled up is something you
cherish to posses. In front of the Lamayuru you will believe why the
name of this tour is Moonland. Exactly the same formations of Land
is visible as on the moon, believed to be made by sowing a seed of
barley in a pond. Afterwards you will visit here one of the oldest
Lamayuru Monestary. Continue your drive to Uletopko camp site. For
sake of words this is a camp site however, location of this camp,
site and facilities puts this camp in many ways better than a Hotel.
You are surrounded by peaches an apple trees and you are right on a
Hill cliff over the river Indus. Overnight at camp with all meals.
Day
09 : Uletopko - Leh ( 80 Km, 04 hours ) Breakfast &
leave for leh enroute Alchi Monestry has murals dating back to 11th
century and is perhaps one of the oldest monestry in Ladakh.
Continue your drive & reach to visit Monestry Rizong, the school
where young lamas are taught Buddism Continue your drive towards Leh
and another stop will be Pyang Monestry and finally at Spituk
Monestry. Arrive at Leh & check in at Hotel for overnight stay
with all meals.
Day 10 : Leh
Breakfast at Hotel and leave to visit Stok Palace Museum ,
the Queen of Ladakh still lives in this Palace and partly it has
been converted into museum. More than palace it is the surrounding
views of Barron Mountains and formation which are extraordinary.
Gentle flow of Indus is another attraction. Return back to Hotel
enroute SOS children camp of Tibetien and finally time to roam in
the Bazzars of Leh. Afternoon a walk to the fort of ladakh.
Overnight at Hotel with all meals.
Day
11 : Leh Shey Thiksey Hemis Leh Breakfast
& drive to Shey, the summer Palace of royal family, a lake in
front of it. In front of it His Holiness Dalai Lama has also his
Ladakh residence. A small drive ahead takes you to Thiksey where you
can see the biggest Buddha statue. Finally to the most revered and
richest monestry of Ladakh The Hemis, this monestry is nestled
between two mountains and has many a things of great importance.
Return back to Hotel for overnight stay.
Day
12 : Leh - Khardungla Pass - Nubra. ( 120 Km, 05 hours ) After
breakfast drive to Nubra which was the caravan route connecting
middle Asia to Tibet. You first stop will be to visit highest
moterable pass in the world "Khardungla Pass" at the
altitude of around 5500 meters above sea leve. You will enjoy here
snow caped mountains & high peak of greater Himalaya. Continue
your drive & arrive Nubra to check in at camping accommodation.
After change & wash visit Pannama Hot water spring. Overnight at
the camps with all meals.
Day 13 :
Nubra - Leh ( 120 Km, 05 hours ) After breakfast visit
one of the oldest monestary "Dixit" and afternoon return
to Leh. Arrive & check in at Hotel for overnight stay.
Day
14 : Leh Delhi ( By Flight ) Breakfast &
time to say Good By to this Land of Lamas & Moon Land, you will
be transferred to airport to board flight for New Delhi, arrive &
board you onwards flight for PUNE.
